    Appointment Scheduling and Locations

    Commercial Road Skills Tests are available by appointment to individuals working with a school district or private company who meet the proper requirements. Please click the link below to request a test.
     
     
    Once the application is accepted, appointments will be scheduled at least 2 business days in advance, per requirements set by the Michigan Department of State (MDOS).

    Appointment Rates and Policy

    Commercial Road Skills Testing Rates are non-refundable and must be paid to the examiner at the beginning of the appointment by cash, check, or money order*: 
     

                      Class A $150.00                       Evaluation $220.00         

                      Class BC $125.00                    BC with “P/S” endorsement $100.00 (invoiced to the school district)        

    *Missed or late arrivals may be subject to a $20.00 fee

    Applicants must bring the following (no photocopies):

      • Valid Michigan Driver's License
      • Michigan Commercial Learner's Permit (including an Authorization to Test Qualified Nonresident for out-of-state CLP)
      • Medical Card (if available)
      • Current Proof of Insurance
      • Current Registration (truck & trailer)
      • Vehicle that passes the pre-trip inspection criteria
      • Air Gauge & Tread Depth Gauge

     

    Class A, B, or C applicants who do not meet the Document, Equipment, or Inspection portion as set by MDOS can schedule one more test for a reduced rate of $75.00. 

    Pupil Transportation Vehicle “P/S” applicants who do not meet the Document, Equipment, or Inspection portion as set by MDOS can schedule one more test for a waived fee. 

    All applicants who fail to meet the Basic Vehicle Control Skills Test or On-Road Driving as set by MDOS can schedule another test at the normal rate.
